Ford Motor Company announced April 16, 2003 at the New York Auto Show that it will introduce a new mid-sized sedan in 2005 - the 2006 Ford Futura. The Futura will be available with a 2.3-liter I-4 and V-6 engines and will also become Ford's second full hybrid vehicle.
