Post No more Ford Taurus

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...rd_futura_dc_2

To sum up: Ford has unveiled its new design to replace the Taurus. Its called the Futura (I think I hate the name), and its based on the new Mazda 6 platform. Plans include an I4, V6 and hybrid configuration.

So what do you think?

Cool beans. I'm really impressed with Ford's design team. Recently their prototypes have had a really neat look to them.

now only if they could get their design teams to come up with a better name than ... futura .... I mean how much of a jackass would you feel like, if when people asked you what you drove, you had to say that word ... a huge one.

Im diggin the way Ford is going with their new designs. Especailly with the 2005 stang.

Im glad to see them leaning even more into the rounded body lines.

I hate to break it to you, but the Mazda 6 is as much, if not more Ford than it is Mazda.

I think I'd rather the Mazda 6 too... This doesn't look bad, but it just isn't my style and I couldn't get over the name. The 6s looks good though, is probably nearly equivalent to this, and isn't called "Futura" ;-)

Well if it replaces the Taurus, then I will be getting one as a company car. I don't think anything could be worse than a taurus. I can't wait to get home each day and take a spin in the Evo.
The only thing good about my company Taurus is that it is not mine, so I don't care what the heck happens to it.
