My Island Beater!

Hey all - I've arrived in Hawaii and will be here for the next three years. I left my 325iT stateside to try to sell it. Needed something to get me back and forth to work, so I decided to get a P-car. I'm loving it...certainly not my dream Porsche, but definitely more fun than driving an old Civic or something every day. Here's a quick pic - still need to clean her up!

looks nice. Looks well maintained for a 944. Classic 80's porsche look.

944? Which engine does it have? The turbo, 3.0, 2.7 or the 2.5? Anyway, nice car.... it must still be a blast to drive for a daily anyway.

My GF's pops has a 944 in IMMACULATE condition (I wanna say it's an '87). Red ext, black leather int, NA, 5-Spd, full factory front and rear spoilers, original paint in perfect condition...I'm so damn jealous. They may be entry level Porsches, but they're still a fun ride and great cars.

Thanks for the comments, guys - just moved in here so I haven't had the internet for the last few days. It's the 2.5L, non-turbo. Very basic and not very fast (esp. compared to the Evo), but definitely fun and hopefully the beginning of a lifetime of Porsche ownership! I'm looking to enjoy the 944 for the next three years while I'm in Hawaii, then sell it, move back to the states and hopefully get a mid to late 90's 993.
