Not that it's in the same class, because it defintely isn't ... but I have to ask anyway. Do you guyz think we will have to worry about this monster? 400hp and 390# torque and the car weighs around 3600 #. It will available in early '04 ... the basic CTS starts at 30K, so I'm willing to bet that the CTS-V series will start at over 40K. Lots of performance enhancements including a 5.7L V8, 3:73 gears, 6-speed tranny, 18" wheels, upgraded suspension, and Brembos. Check it out and be sure to click on the "learn more" link.

Sure, it'll never outhandle an EVO or similar car, but it'll probably play hell with lots of very expensive, highly touted Euro cars. look out AMG and Audi S models.... I almost looked into the CTS but decided no to consider it because of the engine (too small), now it really looks like a seriously interesting car to consider.......

It's nice to see that domestics are getting back into performance in a big way. I think Cadillac is coming out with the V versions so they can better compete with BMW M, Audi S, and Jaguar R.

sounds like they just ripped the LS6 motor from the ZO6, or the LS1 motor from the camaro\transam (so sad to see them go) and the 6 speed and through it in a big luxury sedan. probably the same drivetrain thats going into the '04 Pontiac GTO
