sweet car. good thing you got the base honda engine. arial rips you off with their so called upgrade packages. you can easily turbo/SC that beast and make it even better. there's tons of stuff for those honda motors. i hate the ecotec version too. GM is crap no matter how good they say that engine is. you should be able to register it i've seen some with CA plates already. if i was able to get a weekend/track car i'd buy one of those over the lotus anyday.

We kinda figure you can't have too much power so later may add it. It has the Alcon front brake upgrade BTW. And yes it is an absolute blast and generates tons of attention. I'm trying to arrange for clients of mine to get a chance to run it at one autocross free per each transaction they do

yeah i understand that a car weighing in at 1200 pounds with 200+ hp is MORE than enough. too much car to handle. and alcon brakes are GREAT.
and whats ur job? i'd like to make a transaction and get to ride in that beautiful atom of yours

Can also add an inproved header, remove cat., better flowing muffler, better air box and cams and get the HP up to probably 280 (at the crank) without supercharger. Guys do it on the Honda and Acuras all the time from what I understand.
BTW I help buyers buy real estate in the East Bay SF area. Too bad you aren't located closer and could do a transaction
How does my son afford the Atom; by buying real estate, waiting for appreciation and refinancing to buy toys like this and his 996 Porsche- a great strategy

I thought this car was supposed to be in the low 40s for the base k20 motor.. are they charging high markups on the Brammo constructed USA evos? Im in monterey.. just south of you (had heard about someone owning an atom in the area) Iv been contemplaying selling the evo.. buying a beater pickup and getting the atom. I wish you luck with the registration.. keep us all posted and you may more people may follow suit if your succesful. You just cannot beat all that power with a car that weighs that little..
If I was gonna mod the thing.. well hell it doesnt need much more power, but It could always benefit from some wider wheels and meatier tires.. That thing would look like a beast with some 12" wheels on the rear.

Here's one - taken this past weekend at Reno-Fernley Raceway. Note the whirlwind twister he had to drive through on the 1st lap.

nice... I think a blower would make for a nice addition! It's not too much power if it's usable/easily controlled power.
I personally would wear a full face helmet all the time. I was on a motorcycle ride and had a rock hit me square in the faceshield at about 50mph and took a chip out of the faceshield. I'd hate to know what it would've been like with an open face!
