My civic, thinking about selling it. HELP! (kinda lol)
My civic, thinking about selling it. HELP! (kinda lol)
Well im going to be starting a project car and its going to another S14 SR20DET track/DD car. Found some great cars on ebay, cars, and 240 forums. Most of them go for about 7K+ however im looking for a 240 S14 with an SR to save some cash and money.
Now I will get rid of my Civic. Here is some information on it and I was wondering how much I could get on it. I will be selling it in a couple of months so it might rack up some miles. But here it is:
-2001 Civic EX
-81,XXX miles
-Automatic, transmission is amazing
-Completely stock, no modifcations
-Black paint, very nice paint should take some pictures but it has a couple of door dings like the usual DD's have.
-Inside is completely flawless, looks new to tell you the truth. Its been babied even though it is my DD (all my cars were)
-Stock hubcaps
-Maintained and serviced at dealership (have proof)
-VTAK
Cons
Not much cons but only one or two:
-Just the normal dings on the side
-Has a slight alignment problem, will be aligned, tires will be replaced and rotated.
Thats basically it. I looked at autotrader for some prices or some cars that were closely related, came up to 8K-13K.
I didn't realize that they could go for that much used? Now my question is what would be a fair value for my car? I want to get a good price since I will be doing a new project.
Thanks, comments appreciated
Just looking how much I could get for this!

7K sounds good, but I want to get rid of it in a couple of months because mileage is going to kill me.
And if I did that to some ricer, I wouldnt be able to go to bed at night lol
The market is flooded with used cars. KBB and other pricing companies doesn't accurately appraise the value of the car (only worth what people are willing to pay). Then you see these cars with outrageously high prices on the used market, but if you keep track of these cars, you'll notice that they don't sell. Unlike collectables, most cars will not increase in value the longer you hold on to it, but will be worth less. So holding out for your price has the opposite effect. In either case, price your car accordingly. If you don't get response after a week (or people tell you you're on crack), your price is too high. If you get thousands of calls, your price is too low.
