Mazda MX-3?

i found a 1994 MX-3 for 500 bucks. I need another junker that will last me for awhile. 5 speed manual, 1.6L though. eh...i hope its lighter weight over my galant will make it a little quicker. anyone hav this car. any comments? i like the looks of it.

ok...well i am buying it today or tomorrow. not thrilled bout the speed of it, but everything else seems to be fine. maybe ill mod it up a little bit.

reliability is hit or miss with those cars. i've known some people that have modded theirs and run it over 120k miles. i've seen others engines disintegrate before 50k.

good luck with the new car. i hope it turns out to be the former rather than the latter.

i just went down n checked it out again. my dads the mechanic at the place we got it from. needs a new alternator belt and some oil. thats it. its got 120K ish on it now. the clutch is decent. im a rookie with a standard, so it willprobly need replacing soon.lol. brand new front brakes on it, no accidents. cant comlain. my 92 galant wont pass emissions.

i had a 91 mx-6.. it was garbage. reliable as a ford...which, it happened to share the exact same motor as a ford probe. 120k miles, get ready for a headgasket, if it hasn't already been done. good luck

looks nice...i like it tho..its got a low stance. maybe a couple minor upgrades and i can upgrade it from "slower than slow" to "somewhat slow" lol

i been researching a bit. anyone know where i can find a 2.5 V6 KLZE motor for a '94 maza mx3? or do u kno who would kno where to get one? im assuming they cant be too easy to find

I actually had one of the first KLZE's installed in the country and I was the first to supercharge it waaaay back when. I helped develop a stroker kit w/forged rods/pistons as well. The ZE's, real ZE's, are hard to find. I'd check http://forums.probetalk.com/ and ask around there.
