Well....almost. Gotta love GM build quality here, my Dad lost his top on the highway somewhere. This has been a pretty common problem with the Z06's for some reason, but when we took the car to the dealership awhile ago they said our cars vin wasn't one that was affected. Guess they were wrong! Scary part is he doesn't even know when it flew off, hopefully it didn't hit anyone.

 

LOL and its a Z06 and the top flies off?!?!?!? Weird Recall!!

 

I still want one!

 

It's just too damn fast!

 

See the real issue is the Z06 needs to goto a shrink. It thinks it's soo damn sexy it tries to undress to impress....

He wasn't saying it isn't fast or an amazing bargain, just that its still the typical american ****box inside along with shoddy overall build quality, they are amaaaazing cars, but still far behind there german counterparts in price and build quality.

The car is a monster, he made 540whp on pump with just a cam, headers, and a tune. Stock with a tune the car was very stong also at 471whp. This is the only problem we've had so far. The real crappy part is this could have been easily avoided because there's a recall out with a very simple fix. It would be funny if the dealership tried to deny a warranty claim because the car's faster than stock, I doubt they will though.

 

I would still want one.

 

Tell your dad to look for the lastest GM Authentic Technician Service Bulletin #05112D. You can find all the information on that if the dealer gives you bogus information. The roof blew off on me TWICE. GM made up for it by giving me a transparent roof instead which to date has no delamination problem.

What can you say, other than it's stupid fast.

 

i would just tel everyone i went so fast down the drag strip that it was ripped right off.

 

I can also say it's beautiful, but that's just my opinion...

 

its still a damn good car. it was the adhesive they used to save weight. no biggie its under warranty so i wouldnt care. id drive one, maybe.. lol

 

i dont want the car, i just want the engine inside the car. need to slap that in an FD3S.
