As for a comparison of the Evo and Supra, they really are different cars. This brief writeup is between my old Evo (which had a lot of crap done to it) and my current toy car, this Supra (which has a lot of crap done to it). The Evo would take the Supra on a road course. However, the Supra would take the Evo in a drag race any day. Off the line, the Evo would take the Supra, but if the race was going to last faster than say, 25-30mph, the Supra would walk the Evo. Where the Evo felt like it was running out of gas at the top end, the Supra feels strongest at the top end. The Evo was more awe-inspiring with the massive grip in the twisties and killer brakes. The Supra is more awe-inspiring with it's top end speed. The Supra gets 5x the looks and compliments, but that's not the reason I got the car. The Evo was easier to surprise people with, because most of the general public would never equate a fire breathing monster with a 4door that has a big wing. The Evo made me feel like I was a professional driver, it inspired heroics with speed into turns that most cars wouldn't dare think about. The Supra reminds me that I'm no pro driver, and I can't hit turns as fast as the Evo could. Overall, I think my favorite difference between the cars is the clutch....I felt like the Evo clutch was the Achilles of the car. Whereas, the 6spd Getrag on the Supra feels bullet proof. I can drop it a lot higher in the Supra, and launches are much, MUCH more consistent in the Supra....There is the issue of wheel spin to deal with though....

All in all, they are both wicked cars for what they are. I'm not gonna be a fan-boy of the Supra since that's what I have now and say that it dominates the Evo across the line. At the same time, the Evo doesn't spank the Supra in every performance category. Both of them excel in different areas.

I didn't sell my Evo to get this Supra. I sold my Evo to get a family vehicle to accomodate my growing family. The Supra popped up unexpectedly, and as anyone knows that has shopped for a Supra, you gotta be ready when a deal comes up if you really want one. I've always wanted one.

As for whp, bone stock after 12years, it made 265whp/257lb.ft. @ 11psi. I am making an appointment to get it dynoed later this week.

The current power mods are: full 3.5" exhaust turbo-back, HKS Carbon Ti exhaust, MaxAir Intake (Apexi Cone), GReddy 3row FMIC, @ 18psi. I'm interested to see what it can do now. I've also got a Piggyback ECU similar to Vishnu's XEDE made by Powerhouse Racing ready and waiting in my garage to go on. I'm thinking it will probably break 400whp from what I've read and researched. We'll see at the dyno.
More like 440rwhp on BPU++.

440 would be nice....I could live with that for the simple amount of mods I've done. I'll find out today. My dyno appointment is set for 3:00. It's crazy hot and humid here, and I didn't install the MAP ECU Controller yet, so I guess I'll have to take one of the + off and see where a BPU+ Supra dynos. I just want to find out where it is right now. I'm impatient.
