im looking to build a strip/street car. but im not sure what is going to be a good base to do so on. im not looking to spend much money at all, maybe 2,000 on the car itself. and i need something that is decent sized because im 6'6 300lbs.

what kind of car would you build?

 

Something Honda, maybe a civic w/ motor swap

Try a 5.0

 

I say 5.0 too. Any car for $2k is probably going to need a rebuild on the motor and trans -- especially if you drag race it. You can rebuild the bottom end of a 5.0 for cheap, plus add h/c/i and a 100 shot. Dropping in a stroked 351 would also be an option.

im thinkin a 5.0 too. those things are a dime a dozen so its super cheap to modify them. and there is a lot of aftermarket support for them.
