Haha you poor dudes. I see Evo I-III's and am like "ugh, another Evo" unless it's a VII-IX then it's like "whoa! a CT9A!, cool."

Evo V-VI's don't impress me anymore. And Evo IV's are everywhere.

That's because you're not here and you kiwi's are lucky that you can import just about anything there.

The hilarious thing is that Evo I is completely legal in Canada but Evo VIII isn't!

In Canada, any car that is 15 years old is legal.

Then I can just drive it back across the border into Michigan, then through Indy around the Lake and into Chi-town, IL.

I have the same reaction too... except I go whoa! more on a CP9A than a CT9A. The newer ones look like normal road cars to me

Is it RHD or LHD? if its LHD, check the chassis number muna. It is easy to bring in knocked down Evo parts and install it on a mirage.

a perfect example is this car. You will see it as a normal Evo 6 TME but it was actually a 1997 Lancer GL a/t. the shop brought in a knocked down or "chop-chop" Evo 6 TME from Japan together with all the parts, its suspensions, even decals! Nothing was spared! It was seam welded and double reinforced. They had to change the back area of the car to accomodate the differential. since Evos here still got high resale value, some car enthusiasts had found this a cheaper way of getting an Evo! Not even the engine was spared, nor even the dash! the only thing spared is the chassis number.
