Another crashed Enzo
The Salt Lake Tribune wrote "porches" too
"Mercedes, Jaguars, Vipers, Porches and more were zipping along State Route 257 - all for charity - when the four-day Utah Fast Pass Road Rally took a dangerous turn."
Don't people in Utah know their German Sports Cars???
Just finished having lunch with a detective friend of mine (also a car enthusiast who drives a Dinan 540i) and the original report that went out was pretty inaccurate.
I guess the guy was doing closer to 200mph, no corner involved just hit a bump in the road and sent the Enzo airborne.
Either way sucks to have that happen. Driver is a local jeweler and a very experienced driver.
I think his Enzo is known as the "high-mileage Ferrari" since he drives it so much. Has (excuse me, HAD) something like 30K miles on it.

Box Rocket is right, from what we've heard he was going well in excess of 150mph and lost control (presumably as mentioned from an imperfection in the road). But ya, shame to see the car go. I think he actually had closer to 40k miles. There are only two other Enzo's in UT and combined they don't even have 2000 miles.
The best quote from the Desert News article
"Losee, an experienced driver who has participated in similar rallies all over the country, was wearing a helmet and his car was designed for such incidents. "
How can they say the Enzo is designed for such incidents? I mean, I can understand that the quality of the car in superior enough to keep the driver safe if something like this happens but "his car was designed for such incidents"......come on now. Pretty hilarious

I feel terrible for the guy, and hope he's ok. As others have pointed out, he was rather generous with his car and shared it with magazines so people like us can read about the amazing capabilities of the Enzo.
At least he's taken the car past 30K miles. Most other Enzos would not see that kind of mileage in a lifetime. I, for one, never understood why one would buy a car and not drive it.
BTW, I read in a recent R&T article he took the car to 200+ mph on a public road.

At least it went down at speed and not sitting outside Starbucks.
