I'd rather see Evo's built for circuit racing. Like this for example (Supra and Skyline). The Skyline here is "too fast", just look at the tac spike.

I agree with you to a point. I'm not a drag racing fan, and I too would rather see record breaking lap times at road courses, but DO NOT downplay the insane amonut of work that guys like Buschur and AMS are doing. Even if it's not my cup of tea, I have mad respect for what they have achieved.

Oh, I appreciate that they build record breaking drag Evo's, but the "platform" is wrong IMO.

 

yeah man, I have that DVD, it's incredible. Total sickness.

That being said, there are enough Evos to go around for both track, rally, drag, etc... 9 second (and very soon 8 second with BR's 9.05 tonight) Evos are impressive because it's showing off the power making abilities of the engine. Other types of racing show off the handling, durability, grip, etc. Anything that pushes the car to any of it's limits impresses me.

 

i am very impressed with a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder motor and an awd 4 door doing the 1\4 mile in 9 seconds i think its amazing and i am also very impressed with those cars

 

I have this issue of Best Motoring, and this exact clip is my favorite part....Sick! I love how the Skyline's engine bay looks stock, but hauls a$$.

I think both 9 sec 1320' passes and 1 minute TT lap times are very impressive, however I think it takes more driver skill to road race.
