That would be fun to drive. No lag and power all the way to redline.

It may be fun to drive if it were a buddy's car, but it surely wouldn't be fun to drop $10,000 on that kit, and then come to find out you're only making 443 whp.

Now I see where you are spending all your time.

Looks like an engineering study, more than a big power maker. Should be wickedly streetable, though.

Volkswagen already beat these guys to it. There's a "lesser" GTI in the works that employs a supercharger and a turbo! It apparently makes about 173 hp. I guess all the supercharger's really good for on that thing is to reduce the lag.

Yes, indeed; anyone that didn't spend their money on it!

Anyone remember the (I believe) $92,000 ESX STi? Ah, yes, the POS that actually cornered worse than a stock STi? And wasn't it just marginally faster?

I believe the excuse was that the turbo was damaged.

ESX FTW! I wish I had $62,000 to buy a red STi with a red interior and racing stripes!

I rode in that twincharged STi when it was 1st built 1 1/2 years ago. It started out with single GT35R and the supercharger. The supercharger hits 21-22psi at 1900rpm. There is a cutoff switch that switches the supercharger off at 4K rpm, which by then the GT35R is making plenty of boost to take over to redline (also an incar switch to shut off the S/C completely if you so desire). It felt like a rocket ship right from idle, without launching at all. This kit was not made for all out power. It was made to have zero turbo lag with a big turbo. The car is for sale now, not with the twin charged kit on it. Last I heard Robert is gonna build up a Subaru Baja next.

The twin charging idea is not something I would do with my own car. Holy hell though, it felt great feeling boost from idle to redline.

I'll bet it did feel good! I think it's definitely a cool project, but I just find the final numbers to be a bit on the disappointing side.

the company that builds those is in Scottsdale, AZ & they NEVER, i repeat NEVER have taken their cars to the track when we called them out to run it. not even any road race events. the guy claims it runs 10.0s however he has no timeslips to prove it & the max whp he made @ Dyno-Comp in Scottsdale was 425 on a Dyno Dynamics dyno. the super is from a C- Class MB. the motor isn't even built & he is charging customers about $7-10k for the kit...

Wow....unreal amount of money for not even a motor build.

But why would he take the car out to the track just because you called him out to run? I've been called out by Bronco IIs with V6s and even a 197x Bronco with a cammed 302, but I don't even bother responding. They simply aren't worth the gas or the effort.

Robert actually DID take the twin charged STi to the drag strip 1 time. Ran a 13.? the 1st run. Grabbed a wrench, played under the hood, ran again, ran an 11. Know one has any clue what the hell he did with the wrench under the hood, but it must have helped.
