Funny think about comming across this thread is I just went through the exact same thing. Drove several of them even autocrossed one. Looked at prices and even found one on eBay with 7k built pefect (Blower, new valve train, coilovers, etc...).

It's a great car with a hand built engine, but it doesn't handle as well as the evo. Doesn't hold it's value as well. All in all the evo is just more fun for what I use the car for.

I was looking, because I have had my Evo for almoast 4 years now and I don't have much more I want to do to the car. So, I think bordom was setting in. Second of all for me was being 40 and driving around in a car with a 3" tb exaust with no cats or mufflers was beginning to get to me. My car sits in the garage 6 days a week, so I actually took it out and drove it a bit and put a muffler on the car. You know I don't even think about getting rid of it any more, of course the fact that it has been paid off for a year really helps.

All right drove an 05 with 19,000 miles on it yesterday. Was as fast as my EVO but handling was no where near the EVO. The Cadillac dealership actually likes its customers as opposed to Mitsu's. Interior was much nicer and better build quality than EVO's. Softer ride with navigation, cruise, and lot's of gadgets! This is definitly a car you don't see everyday which is similar to the EVO. Price is $33,900 so I could probably get a grand or two off from that. It would seem the initial buyer took the big loss considering it was $51,195! I only keep cars maybe 1 or 2 years so I won't lose much. I think the biggest thing going for the Cadillac is that it has more class than the EVO. I constantly fell goofy when the kids at the grocery store ask me how fast I go from 0-60 mph.
