Caillac CTS-V

I think I am going to sell my EVO this spring and buy a used 05 or 06. Prices seem to be around the same as a new EVO with low miles. Any thoughts on these cars?
Thanks

eh i think they look decent and i think they are alright in the power dept but they will definately feel like youre driving a boat compared to your evo. STS V is cooler but you might be alright with the CTS V. little class, little style, little power and youre ready to go. decent car IMO. would i get rid of evo for it?? no.

The CTS-V is a nice car, but a bit heavy for my tastes. It's surely quick, and it looks good, but it's just....heavy. I dunno if I could trade an Evo for a CTS-V.

This is a great car, don't listen to everyone saying it handles like a boat. When i was in vegas there was this thing called the "GM drive" and you could drive on a little autox like course the following cars; c6, ctsv, solstice, gto. Now i can honestly say my favorite car out of them was the CTSV. Reason being interior is amazing, seats are so comfortable, and the ctsv seemed to understeer the least out of all of those cars. It is truely a great all around car.

*i am sure the c6 would of felt like it was a better handler if we were able to take off the TC.

Hope that helps, and good luck. Also the clutch and tranny on the cts is great. It actually as you slowly take your foot off the clutch the car automaticly adds gas and helps you to start moving. Great technology.

The CTS-V is a great ride....Very comparable to a M5 with just less on the build quality....Power is smooth and awesome....Seats are very comfortable and the trunk is HUGE.

Basically these are cars that are geared towards similar M3/M5 or AMG market. Great performance, lots of luxury, and did I mention great performance.

hmm interesting i know they are hand built engines but not too sure if they have the north star or vette engine. the northstar engines suck. i am planning to sell me evo as well either looking at 01-02 M5 or the CTS-V

Broken axles, and rear end hop are very common. Plus the tires they use are eaten up in 10-12k miles. They have never gotten to the tranny/ rear end hop. Nothing helps

A year long wrap up from motor trend yeilded ,, they would hate driving this car for any longer.

It looks nice but the inside is ala any gm car since 1980. Nice and boring, lack of thought

I don't get it, why are you selling high performance sport sedan to get another one? Both has 4 door and great performance potential. Is it the space that you're after, or luxury?

Personally, the Evo is just simply the best to me. I can go snowboarding in the winter, cary 5 people comfortably on long trips. I think we'll give you better opinion once we know what you're after.

As for the CTS-V. I think it's a nice car, but I would never buy a GM.

I second this. The Cadillac is a sweet ride.
