Yea like the Buschur catback... one of THE lightest non-titanium catbacks out there.

Yeah BR made alot of parts for WRXs before the STi came out. Then after the EVO came out and the market changed and lack of support for BR parts for Subies shortly there after they pulled the plug on Subie parts. They also did SRT-4 for a breif stint.

I'm worried about "shiny" too. I want whatever is going to show other cars my "shiny" exhaust tip and its big, blue ***.

I thought I saw him posting here but I can't remember. What is his SN? I will definitely ask.

Thanks, but no thanks. I'll stick with what I have. While I love the Evo just as much as I love the STi, the STi is the car that worked better for me.

I'm not interested in a 500 hp car. What I am interested in are quality parts from a competent tuner that I can count on to not only help my car perform better, but be reliable and long-lasting as well.

Sure, there are absolutely good tuners out there for Subarus, but none at the level of Buschur.

Take a look at Cobb. They make some great products, such as the AccessPORT, but they're not the "whole package." They're good for an AccessPORT, and maybe an exhaust, but really, what else?

Then there's Andrewtech. The man can build transmissions like there's no tomorrow, but that's a specialty. Not everyone needs an upgraded transmission.

APS. Again, great parts, but very expensive, and I really don't like the sound of their exhausts.

Then look at Buschur. He builds cars and even has some dealerships carrying his modded cars; almost Saleen or Roush-like.

Also consider that the EJ25 motor is only 2 years old. The North American market is the ONLY market to get this motor. Why's it so much more expensive to mod an STi than an Evo? There's your answer right there. Now that the standard WRX also shares the EJ25, I'm going to guess that the cost of modding the WRX/STi/STI is going to decrease a little bit, but the more companies out there making parts means there are more companies researching and untapping the performance potential of the motor. Ever heard the expression, "two heads are better than one?"

Thanks for the plug for the STi!

I'm going to try to find Dave on the site and see if he does have any left over parts from his "STi research." Since he's not developing parts for the STi any longer (I guess nobody gave him a chance ) I'll see if he'd be interested in unloading some of his product at a discount or for a reasonable price. I think it's pretty f*cking rude of the way he was treated by the Subaru community, and it's no doubt because he's into tuning the Evo also. I wouldn't be surprised to see them crying about Cobb designing an AccessPORT for the Evo now. I'm sure it'll go something like, "EVERYBODY BOYCOTT COBB! THEY'RE TUNING EVOS NOW!" I just find the Subaru community in general to be picky and immature. That's not saying that everyone is, but I see it a whole lot more amongst them than some of the other domestic/import fans. Hell, I'm just happy there are companies out there making parts for my car!

What pisses me off is nobody seems to get it. I get judged for driving an STi and "hating" or "talking poorly" about the Subaru community, but the thing is, they don't want to do a damned thing. I threw a small GTG on last Friday night. Wanna know who showed up? ALL Evo owners. I invited some Suby guys, and some said, "Sure! We'll definitely be there!" So, I waited. NONE OF THEM bothered to show or call and say that they weren't coming. I guess Subaru fans just don't like to drive their cars? Well, whatever. Their losses. And I'm sure all the Evo guys were sitting there scratching their heads wondering why an STi owner had nobody but Evo guys over his house. That's fine. Here's the answer. It's because Evo guys (the ones I've met, anyway) are ALWAYS looking for excuses to go out and enjoy their cars and socialize, and they don't give a sh*t who it's with. All I hear from whiny and pissy Subaru owners are "Let's try to make it an all-Subaru GTG" or just bad attitudes about any other car showing up in general. I would never go out with a Subaru crowd and invite a friend with an Evo for the simple fact that it wouldn't be anything but a "Why didn't you buy a Subaru" bashing session. It would be akin to bringing a New York City Hooker to the Vatican.

See, I love cars, not companies, and I will enjoy my car with anyone who will enjoy it with me!

Totally agree with what you are saying... sometimes that just the way it goes man.. I am an STi/EVO guy myself and sometimes I get the wave or the finger depending on what car I am driving that day.. LMAO!!! But we also need to remind ourselves that we are nothing more than Enthusiasts

I've never been given a finger or a from an Evo owner. I always get a nod or a . That's not to say that I'll never get a finger or from an Evo owner, but it just hasn't happened yet.

Yes, that's true, WE may be enthusiasts, but it doesn't mean there aren't fanboys out there. For every enthusiast, there are 5 fanboys. That's my guess, anyway.

But I can't tell you how many times I get asked by Evo owners, "You wish you bought an Evo, don't you?" Or, "Why didn't you buy an Evo?" Simple. Because the STi works better for me in day to day life, and even if it didn't, I may have chosen it anyway because I've loved the STi since its introduction in 1994 and had wanted one since then. When I test drove an Evo it had already received a "raw deal," as I had my mind pretty much set on an STi anyway, just because I had liked them for so long. It was one of those things where you just have to drive the competition to see what it's like.

Yeah, I loved the Evo. It was a great performer, but the performance threshold wasn't high enough to sway my decision to buy a car that I had wanted for 11 years.

David's SN on here is davidbuschur.

We did try the Subaru stuff. We built up-pipes, full 3" TBE, intercoolers, turbo kits etc... The stuff would not sell. We actually discontinued the Subaru line along with our N/A Lancer line and SRT-4 line lastyear. Sorry.....

Jarrod, I PM'd you, but in case you don't get the PM, do you have any of the stuff left over that you'd be willing to sell at a discount.....TBE, intercooler?

Thanks.
