Looks as if the World Record for the fastest 4WD has been smashed by Reece McGregor's Heat Treatments GTR from NZ at the recent meet at the Willowbank Raceway in QLD.

i think someone posted this a day or two ago but i don't get it he did a burnout and the back wheels spun how did he do that if its AWD?

nah, it looks awd to me. It has 4 slicks. Its has that auto control over the gearing where it switches to awd.

you can switch from 4wd to 2wd. to do a burn out

 

I've only seen this on a GT-R, apparently japanese or euro tuners have found a way for the skyline to switch from 4wd to 2wd by a flick of a switch, probably from some kind of add-on device.

I don't know if there's a shop out there that would have this device available for an evo or a wrx, if there's any I would like to know.

I know that the new awd system of the 911 turbo allows you to switch power 100% to either end. It may be something like that. Hell, it was side steppin' like a awd car. Awesome job at that...
