Question....
Before I start I want to say I love my 03 Lancer OZ, but it's just to slow.
It's my 1st manual transmission car, and I had alot of fun with it. But I need something with more power you know.
So I've been looking and found an 04 WRX, 5 speed Auto
with triptronic trans.
For about $17,000, and around 60 miles. Full option.
And still has it's factory warranty.
Only problem is if I try for it I'll have negative equilty problem. I owe about 10,000 on the oz for like 3 more years ( had negative equity from my old lease ).
So about 3500 total in the negative.
I I did some math.
17000 - 6500 (trade value maybe) + 3500 (negative) / 60 months = 233.00 (roughily)
not including tax/tile/interest rates.
Now the question!
What would you do?
Pull the trigger and get the Subie?
or
Pay off Lancer somemore and buy something else later?

i would just pay off the lancer and get something else. preferably with a manual.
if the car is still running fine there is really no reason to trade it in just yet.
and you could always double up on your payments and just pay it off sooner.
of course, if it is power you are after, you could always just start modding your lancer.

Do you have any money saved up?
I would say leave the WRX alone it's a very bad deal. And you know i'm gonna suggest a EVO, hands down without thinking. IMO much, much better than the WRX any day.
just my .02
