so 15k + 15k in mods = 800 whp

vs.

I'm not sure if there was ever a 300z in best motoring (can't imagine there not being one...ever) but fifth gear has had some in past comparisons. It was one of their favorite road & track cars over everything in it's class.

I hate when people say this.. This is the classic line used on streetfire.net..

can't we just give respect to a faster car. I own both the evo and 300zx both are respectable cars and crazy when modded.

I love my 300ZX Twin Turbo! It's damn quick, and tons of fun to drive. I actually would like to get into an Evo IX, but don't have the job or the money. So I'll stick with my Z and love it. 80,000 miles on it. Over the weekend, I was in Newark, lined up with an EVO, but of course a cop pulled out so turned off into a gas station for a drink.

Actually there was that one Pentroof 300z, but like I said the shape of the Z lends it to being a freeway burner. Jun used it to break the 200mph barrier at Bonneville in the early 90's. That is the appeal of the 300z it is more of a cult car because it was really hard to work on because of the tight engine bay and cost of some of the upgrades at the time. The reason the Z was overlooked was because of the GT-R anyway so it tends to be under estimated.

From a mechanical view I look at it like this, it is about 90-95% of the Supra's power potential at a third of the cost, besides when is the last time you've seen a Supra being a serious front runner in the best motoring videos? Even in the Japan GT series the Supra uses a V8, like I said the Z was set aside because the GT-R was labeled as the flagship car at nissan.
