Yeah, 2G rods ar eso thin, tehy cannot take more than 350rwhp for long. And that guys definitely does not have just a stock turbo:-)

Man I can only think the block was cracked before that run to explode like that. I've never seen anything like that. Sounded like he ran off the road and hit the dirt but it was his engine exploding. The comments had me laughing for hours. "M3's suck", "My parents are going to be pissed" Man, I can hear the "I told you so" from his parents about him modifying his car.

 

it did not sound right to begin with, the idling sounded like it was misfiring already.

But anyway, Those were stock internals, right? I'm not familiar with how the 2g internals look...especially when they're ripped, torn, and blown to a thousand pieces.

Misfiring? No, that was his dumb *** revving the engine and bouncing it off the frigging rev limiter and holding it there prior to sidestepping the clutch. I'm sure he's done this a hundred times before, why would anybody think it was abused?

Also, did you hear the driver say "Well, here comes my transmission test. I'm gonna abuse the f**k out of it." LOL, well, it was your engine the blew you dork, not your tranny.

I feel absolutely terrible and heartbroken for the car being subjected to such a moronic driver. I have absolutely zero sympathy for the driver who treated his car like a POS.

I bet the idle was from aftermarket cams. I am willing to be either some HKS or Web cams.

Also by the sound of it he had a MSD DIS 2 ignition to allow him a preset RPM to launch at, possibly 5500 as most modded DSM's launch at.

With all that money in mods he should have had at least a good EGT gauge and possibly a TRUE O2 gauge to let him know he was running WAY TO LEAN for that race.

I have seen many 2G DSM's that shredded the block in the same nature, all due to an extremely lean condition.

Unless the dude has the highest threshold of pain ever or he has a fake finger with a hidden pipe in there I doubt it was a cracknail.

Typically, finger nails such as that are used to do coke off of, much like the little spoons, like the one in Blow. Either way, it was sick.

And as for the actual accident, sucks for that dude. I agree with the idea that his block was damaged beforehand. It seems like if there was enough force to blow up the block in that manner that there would have been a lot more noise and destruction in the engine bay. Who knows, though. Someone needs to find this guy so we can ask him all these questions. He's prolly hiding under a bridge somewhere after that lil episode.
