Just curious.... Why did you not go with a C6 Z06?

CTS-V MSRP: $74,640

Z06 Styles (MSRP: $69,175)

I'm jealous. I'd LOVE one for a daily driver. Low key except when you step on it, then all the heck breaks loose!

A CTS-V only goes for $50,000 the STS-V goes for $74,000.

Agreed. I wanted the four doors and the low cop radar signature of the car. I don't get a second glance usually from them.
Besides it's fun messing with other cars and seeing their faces "WTF, a caddy goes that fast??" 3-series and g35's are the most fun though.

Chevrolet wants $85,000 for the Z06, they have a dealer markup on them. The CTS-V is MSRP $50,000. Not $74,000. I got mine out the door for $60,000 since I had a lot of upgrades.

What upgrades other that the carbon fiber engine dress-up?? I ended up getting it for 50 OTD. I get a X type plan through work which helped out.
I suggest getting the www.clearbra.com
It has saved me from a construction barrel already and several nicks from road debris and rocks.

Wow, that is one hell of an upgrade! Congrats... they are sick cars. One of the engineers at my mom job just got one too, in black as well... and I was like ... take me for a drive, but he was working, but told me come back and he will. Funny thing is, his past car was an STi and said overall, it's just a better 'grown up' car, interior and exterior and just built better. Im asked him about the Evo, and he said 'never like the mitsu... far more problems than the suby".

Oh yeah, I don't understand why the hate in evo general, some people (kids) there just cant understand that that some carsare not meant for everybody and you grow out of it. So hostile there, like WMD were found,

The carbon fiber kit is 1,500. The corsa exhaust was like 1,100, the suspension added a little more, I don't know exactly. Then I traded in my mercedes, and put money down, which had back end on it. The mercedes was in the rears like 5k or so. I also got the floor mats with the V logo on them.

It seems like I cannot post a thing on this forum without my thread turning into a Warrtalon invasion. EVERY thread I make, he invades, starts arguments with either me, or someone else, then it gets closed. Either that, or after him invading my thread, I SOMEHOW get banned for a few days. I wish the moderators would see - most of the time he comes into my threads and just eats at me until I snap, yet I'm always to blame. Maybe one day Warrtalon will take care of his own problems. Here's a little advice for you, Warrtalon:

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of themself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live I will kill you, if I die you are forgiven". Such is the Rule of Honor.

I did my exhaust at a local shop (didn't want to wait a week to get the car from the dealer). I am assuming the suspension is the shocks?? I might do the ground control coilovers and hotchkis sways next spring/summer. What type of MB did you have?? At the track event I went to, a guy had the C32 amg, it was a nice car, only in auto though, and I did beat his time and he had springs, shocks, sways, race tires and much more road race experience than me.

That is one nice looking car. I've always thought those V-series cars were a good idea by cadillac.

btw, lamb of god kicks ***
