with methonal injection, and 28psi it broke the crank in 3 spots and it put 613 on the ground. They now make an oliver crank for it that is big bucks that i just bought. Getting a set of GM perfomace parts aluminum heads and going to flat tappet cam and trying to push 700 on the ground. It sucks though bc the 4.3 motors dont like detonation at all. I throught about going to an ls1 they bolt right in and keep the awd. But as i said i am thinking of getting rid of it and building the evo and putting it in the garge you can make jsut as much power for a lot cheaper. Thinking 35r built 2.4. But we will see.

wow , thats a badass truck man !!!! When I lived in NY I remember one of teh guys on my block got one and I remember EVERYONE looking at it and going crazy , those things are nasty !!!!! Always nice to see pics of clean cars/trucks like yours man , very very sweet

No, common mis-conception. Only other GM car that had the "gn" motor was a special edition Trans Am, used one of them for that years Indy 500 Pace car. I do believe however PAS (company responsible for the Syclone/Typhoon) was responsible for those Trans Ams...

I love those trucks. I looked at getting one, but they hold their value very well - close to $20k for one with under 50k miles around here.

Yeah PAS designed the Sy Ty and Turbo Trans AM. Everyone always says yeah thats the truck with the GN motor in it and as u know it isnt. If you asked most sy and ty guys they would probably wish it had the GN motor in it bc they are less prone to detonation and take mods alot better. Thanks again for all the positive props man. I got to see a 3076r evo mr today and im defiantely leaning towards selling the sy and putting some money into the evo and banking the rest.
