I don't know about you, but me I am a little disappointed in the upcoming Shelby GT500. I mean I have no doubts it will be a bad *** car, but honestly I was just expecting more. With 500HP and Shelby all over it, I was expecting it to be the baddest Mustang of all time. WTF happend, nearly 4000lbs, are you kidding me, the car is a bloated pig! I was also expecting quicker straightline acceleration, I have no doubts that despite this magazine's numbers and numbers from other magazines the Shelby GT500 should be a mid 12s@114-115MPH car on the average, which is faster stock for stock than a 2003-2004 Cobra, but with 500HP I was expecting it to blow the previous generations away. All around the Shelby GT500 is a better car than the 2003-2004 Cobra, which is good, but still I was expecting so much more. For a base price of $41,000 I really was expecting more. I have my doubts on this car selling as well as Ford hopes, I just don't see 2003-2004 Cobra owners running to Ford dealerships to upgrade to a car that is much more expensive, much more heavier, and in many cases, much more slower than what they already have.

I saw a black with gold stripe GT500 down the highway and flagged the chick to pull over. Luckily she was headed to the same place (circuit city). I told her I would give her $45k for her car, she was like "no way, I paid $65k for her". WOW! That's alot, I would've gotten a Z06 instead.
