Anyone good with Honda?

Hey guys, I am in bit of a bind. Recently my 95 Civic EX developed a bucking while driving. Well, yesterday myself and a tech here decided to see what is going on. Came to the conclusion it felt like a misfire. So first we checked for spark (well he did), and somehow in the process, something happened so the car would not start at all.

So, we take off the dist cap to take a look, and found that the screw that holds the rotor is place backed out, and the rotor was basically rounded out, and just spinning. I figure, eh, thats not bad. So I go ahead and order a new cap and rotor, put it all back together, all still no start.

Now, if I were to guess, maybe in the process the dist itself may have been "taken out". But I figured I would check to see if by chance knew of any other suggestions, or if by chance there is a "typical issue" with those cars that I may not be aware of (cuz we all know Mitsu has a few of those).

Well, thanks in advance, any insight is greatly appreciated!

is the ecu throwing any code at all?
I'm experiencing something similar with my Delsol. Ecu says 9 and 22.

22: Vtec oil pressure switch
9: Crank angle sensor or circuit./ #1 cylinder position

#9 seems be directly related to the Distributor

Just a quick update, turned out to be the actual ignition coil, so lucked out and didn't have to replace the whole distributor. Thanks for the help guys!!

Very good! BTW, just this weekend my car wouldn't start. Turned out to be the main relay I spoke of earlier. So if this happens to you, check the relay in the main fuse block under the dash. My car now runs after I beat on the relay a few times...

Good luck!
