What lasts longer?

I was looking for a more timid car and saw the Rx-8. Just wondering what car would last me longer, seeing as how the rotary engine has fewer parts and the Rx-8 is not turboed.

Im assuming you're comparing the Evo and RX-8. What everyone is going to say is the rotary engine is less reliable, but both are fine if you don't f uck with them. BUT, it'll probably be cheaper to fix the Evo. 4g63 is built for FI...its not an aftermarket mod. Oh yeah...an Evo is NOT a timid car which is more than what i can say for the RX-8

Not trying to replace the Evolution if I don't have to. I'm just wondering what would be a better choice if somehow I was to buy another car.

You can get 9 miles to the gallon in a 600hp evo or you can get 9 miles to the gallon driving the rx-8 tough choice.

Stock to stock, they have similar MPG. It's just the damn rotary.

I do like the RX8, but it gets really crappy gas mileage and has no power. At least with our Evos, we get power (and torque!). The first couple years of the RX8 had issues with the engine tuning... not sure how well it's been sorted out.
