MazdaSpeed 6. What do you think?
They may be heavy, but I drove one with my wife before I picked up my IX. They have an incredible interior with a lot of goodies, like a Nav system, cruise control and exterior temps, just to name a few things. The only reason that I didn't get one is because the sales associates were impossible to work with and didn't want to deal. We went across the street, literaly, and got the IX. Don't get me wrong, I love my IX. When scopping cars the Speed6 was in the running. It's a great car... If you want fast and sporty and you're willing to give up some comforts, go with the Evo... You won't be disappointed.
Thats the thing I'm most worried about! I have to say, I think I started something here. My reason being behind looking into one is the fact that the interior is more well-rounded than the Evo, and insurance is alot less expensive. Even with me being 26, my wife 24, both have clean records. My buddy bought a Mazda 3 and he loves it. Another factor is that I drive 100 miles round' trip a day, and the dealers do that "tires for life" deal. They replace them when they wear out. That would save me alot right there, plus the warranty.
ATP has a turbo upgrade, APexi has exhaust, then theres your basic AEM intake, etc, etc. The companies have taken a real liking to the car in tuning already.
I appreciate all the feedback. If I don't get a 6, I WILL be buying a 9 SE.
I had a Mazda 6s and will never own another Mazada again. The interior was nice but the clutch sucked. There were major problems with the pressure plate and Mazada wouldn't do anything to fix the problem.
I have heard the Mazda 6 speed has a problem suddenly losing power when accelerating. Do some research and look on the Mazda6club to see if the problem was ever fixed. In my opinion I would buy a WRX instead. They are reliable and nice inside.

(mazda speed 3)sport compact did a great article on the car they took it on the autobahn were he was chasind down and passing a s4 at 150,they say with intake and exhaust the the car will gain 30 horsepower with no tuning and go in the 12's the new turbo mazda is no joke,if u have a stock evo and see one moded on the road run.because he will pull on you.

They are not 23,000, you must be thinking of a MS3, not a MS6. Try 34,000, depending on which trim level. I did test drive one before buying an EVO and the one thing I did not like about it, was the 100-0 AWD. Not like an EVO, with a 50-50 AWD. The one thing I did like about the car, other then the interior, was the lack of lag. With it's smaller turbo, it's in boost almost immediately.
I thought about the MS6, well thought about it, not seriously though. A good car, but I realized all the reasons why I wanted a EVO where not going to be a reason to buy a MS6. I am not saying the EVO is a better car, nor am I saying the MS6 is a better car, they were built for different reasons. If somebody is seriously considering a MS6 and seriously considering an EVO, then I think they are looking at both cars for all the wrong reasons. People keep sayin' well the MS6 has such a sweet interior, but who buys a EVO because of it's ultra comfortable and sweet interior, if you did, then you shouldn't have bought a EVO. Also people keep sayin' the MS6 is slow compared to the EVO, but the MS6 wasn't built to compete with the EVO as far as performance. My point is I get so annoyed, when people bring up negatives for a car when it wasn't built for that purpose.
If the author of this thread is seriously considering a MS6 then he must really consider what he is looking for out of the car, and if the MS6 feels all these needs, then he or she needs to compare it to cars that are in its same class.
