We have a winner!!

On a side note Camaros/Firebirds/Mustangs are pony cars - the Corvette is a sports car. The strict definition of a muscle car is an intermediate sized, V8 powered car based on a regular production car - i.e., GTO, Road Runner, Charger, Fairlane, 442, Chevelle, GTX etc.

Yup, I just installed an independent rear suspension from an 03 cobra to replace my solid axle, and got subframe connectors. The car handles very well, and even did before those suspension mods. The body roll sucks, but it can be contained. When I get coilovers on this car, it'll be crazy.

A friend of mine had a 98 cobra with springs, shocks, stiff front sway bar, subframe connectors, and UCA/LCA's and his car had no body roll at all. That thing could take corners amazingly fast. Plus he had Evo recaros in it, so the seat held onto you, unlike my stockers.

Here are a few pics from my first auto-x last year. Car did pretty well by my standards, I was only a second or two back from a friends modded WRX who had also autocrossed before.

Wow, are you really gonna tell Mustang and Camaro owners that they don't have muscle cars? What about the Boss 429, Shelby GT500, and Yenko Camaro? Not muscle cars?

Obviously my car is too new to qualify as a traditional muscle car.. Its a 78 Malibu, but it is a G-Body/A-Body and it is a Chevelle.. It is a Mid-Sized V8 powered 4 speed car with the F41 (Olds 442, Monte SS, etc) suspension upgrade from the factory..

I am not telling anyone anything. I'm just telling you the strict definition of a muscle car. Pony cars are not muscle cars.

Muscle car = intermediate sized, V8 powered car based on a regular production car.
