Is this car reliable?

Im getting rid of my SRT-4, going to a $5000 car to catch up on my debt and then buying a car I really want *cough* EVO. I need something that will be easy to sell when I'm done with it, a car that won't give me trouble, something that is built nice and though probobly boring it doesn't look like ***. I am probobly going to pull the trigger on this 1998 Toyota Camry 4cyl Auto, sunroof, leather, 93k with new snow tires and summer tires too for $5,500. I heard that these Camrys had issues with oil gel, oilgelsettlement.com but my friend had a 2000 Camry v6 with NO problems, though his dad had the 1998 v6 with the oil problem crap. Should I worry?

I wouldn't worry - as with a lot of problems, it doesn't affect a high % of cars.

Just make sure you won't have to put any money into it like replacing things that wear out.

My sister has 99 camry i4 with about 200k miles.. the only problem I think it had was a bad altenator at around 150k miles.. (she bought it when it had around 75k miles) I think its a good car If you wanna make a sleeper just swap in a 3sgte but the auto tranny can't handle too much power...

my room mate has a 94 camry. 207,000 miles on it. Runs great. The only work we had to do to it was a new radiator, cos he drove into a fire hydrant.
other than that its a sweet car

Oil gel problems?? sounds like whoever told you that didn't change their oil. And my cousin has a v6 camry with 209k on the clock, nothing seriously bad, just normal wear and tear on like alternator and whatnot

camry is good choice for DD and for resale. Also the accord is great like stated. Those are probably the best choices actually.
