335i 1/4 mile in 13.3 stock

edmunds tested a stock automatic 335i and the results were 0 to 60 in 4.8 and 1/4 in 13.3

ringer anyone ? I know they are making great power with bolt ons and a tune but I still find it funny that they're more than half a second faster than any other magazine lol.

And that last sentence cracks me up lol.

Still a great car I suppose.

Possibly

I drove one about a month back. Good power -- numb handling though

magazine and websites always run slow...

the evo is suppose to run a 13.3 - 13.5 i think in stock form the 335 may be faster than the ix. and mod for mod doens't seem that far behind us. the only down fall will be the rwd when the hp gets high, unless theyre always on drag radials or slicks. the evo in street trim state will have traction.

cheers!

More money in BMWs -- and the owners are easier to deal with as they aren't cheap like us, nor as well educaterd about the car

Remember the auto version or shift-tronic or paddle shifting. You can go faster than a manual on the straights. It has been proven. You cannot outshift a computer. Also with the launch control, you can launch cleanly and accurately

I think you nailed it right on the head. Don't get me wrong though, the 335i is quite impressive.

At the end of the day, after basic mods, it'll be much easier/cheaper to get power out of the Evo.
