Diesel Vechicles?

Are there any 2006-2007 diesel powered vehicles for sale in America?

Do Diesel Vehicles get better gas mileage than hybrids?

Thanks

Mercedes-Benz still has diesel cars in their lineup. Other than that, I'm not sure.

As for gas mileage, it depends on the car. In terms of value though, diesel is a better "bargain" I believe. The difference in prices between a hybrid and regular gasoline vehicle (say on a Camry or Highlander) is significant enough that you'll not be saving much money over the years. The diesel cars, however, will allow you to save money since they're generally about the same price as a gasoline powered car but you get better gas mileage.

By the way, the new Prius is rumored to get around 113mpg. Now that will definately save you money.

The New E-class benz, with blue-tec gets like 700ish miles on a tank, something like 35mpg....

OMG, if this vehicle is in the 20 grand price range and gets 100+ this is a no brainer. Rumors is it will be turbocharged as well....

The rumor is that it will be priced around 800-1500 cheaper than a fully loaded Prius, so that would put the new Prius around $26k to $27k. I'm guessing this would the base price, without leather/navigation/HID and all that good stuff. This is the only time in my life I'm actually excited about a new car that offers zero driving pleasure or VIP image. And people say Toyota needs a sports car?

I bet there will be a 6+ months waiting list when it comes out though
