Hey all,

Does anyone here happen to know what the block of the Mitsubishi 6A12 is made of (aluminium or iron)? The engine is the 2.0 V6 DOHC one that is used in the FTO. If anyone has the weight of the engine, that'd also be useful! I'm dont care if it's the MIVEC or non-MIVEC version!

The 6A12 is an iron block. Do a search on Google for "6A12 MIVEC dimensions" or

Anyone know of any japanese V6 engines that have an all-aluminium construction? List as many as you can possibly think of please!
