Yeah but the G35 SC won't have nearly as good back room as the Evo does

 

A friend of mine totaled his S2000 back in february...he waited a couple months and got a G35 coupe. Its an awesome car. He just broke it in a couple weeks ago so now he can gun it. Its very fast. Personally id take the G35 over the Evo 8. Overall the car is much classier and still has the speed. The price is a bit more but worth it. Id like to see a race between a G35 and Evo 8. Both have close to the same HP. Who do you think would win?

 

The G35 Coupe is PHAT! BUT anything under 120mph is going to go to the Evo. After driving the G35C the low end power delivery is much greater in the Evo. Granted the turbo gives you much more head snapping action which can be deceiving but you can tell. The Evo just seems much quicker. BUT the seats in the G35 are HELLA comfortable and nice. I think for the money it's the best buy out there right now. It reminds me a lot of my Supra.

 

G35 is the best looking car in production under $50,000, no question about it. I love it the fact that it has the Nissan 3.5 litre VQ V6 engine, a rumor is that the skyline coming to the states will either have a V8 or have a twin turbo with the V6, of course I'd rather have the twin turbo inline 6, but that engine is history. Sure Evo is probably a little faster, and corners a lot better, but in the real world, on city streets, I'd rather be driving the G35 coupe.

close but not exactly. They share the same platform along with the sedan and 350Z but it's not the skyline. If it was the skyline they wouldn't be making the skyline as a completely different car.

 

I think they share a little more. They have the same body and interior. At least from the pics I saw they literally were identical in appearance. The biggest difference being the Skyline having an AWD platform and a turbo charger. I'm sure there's more to it but from a visual standpoint they look the same.

 

I take that back. Just talked to a friend who is our resident Skyline afficionado. Apparently they didn't make a GTR version which means the Skyline IS identical to the G35 Coupe. There is no turbo or AWD version right now. The new Skyline that is slated for the US in coming years will be geared towards the R-34. Especially with so much competition coming out. Lotus, Supra, 350Z, Evo, STi, etc..

I just purchased a G35 last week....and all I have to say is holy mother of god this car is amazing. You all know I love the Evo, and even still love my lil'ole suped up OZ...but this G...man o' man I love it.

I bought mine for $36,000 and

Same exact thing except for badging....and you all better believe I already ordered the badges.

Yea the G35 and the Nissan Skyline are the same car. The GTR will not be out untill 2007 or 2008 and will be sold worlwide under the Infinit badge, hence why Nissan trademarked : Infiniti GTR (look for my new site in the next 6 months to a year www.infinitgtr.net )

Right now I'm looking into getting a new car as I sold my IS300 and share a 350Z with my pops .... Ive been debating hard weather to buy a New 350Z, G35c, or EVO or just get something like S4 for the mean time till the GTR comes out. Right now I'm leaning between the 350z, G35 or EVO each has its beifits but and downfalls. If you had to pick from one of the following what whould you do:

Option 1)

Black Base 350z, C-West N1 Body Kit, Tein Flex Coilovers w/EDFC, GReddy Twin Turbo Kit w/ Intercooler, 19" I-Forged Wheels w/ Black Faces, Kazza Diff, GReddy Exhaust, and Sparco Seats.

Option 2)

Silver Evo 8, Vishnu Stage 2, 19" Racing Hart J8 Wheels w/ Graphite Faces, Tein Flex Coilovers, Sparco Harness Bar, Sparco Harnesses, APR CF Spliter,

Option 3)

Silver or Black G35 C, I-Forged 19" Wheels, Top Sec. Body Kit, GReddy TT Kit w/ Intcooler, GReddy Exhaust. (Note this is the most expensive option so would take the longest to put togeather)

Whats everyones opinions?
