'08 Audi TT 3.2 testdrive
Ok the new TT is alot better looking and improved over the first gen.
Went and looked at one the other day, very very roomy inside. great layout and driving position. I have heard the 3.2 is a nice grunty engine. Well 250hp 236tq.
Went for a drive , the sales guy said dont take it over 4500rpm its a new car, YEA sure. lol
I told the sales guy to keep the window down so I can hear the exhaust. Didnt hear much, very quite. And for the performance, well it was kinda hoppy and soft at the same time, strange. As for power, lol, I kept looking down to be sure I didnt leave the E brake on? This thing just dosnt want to move.
After reading more in the TT book. The peak tq is only there for 500 rpm. From like 3000 to 3500. wtf .
Now the kicker. MSRP $54 large. It was loaded Nav., Magnetic ride, ect.
I thought maybe it would lease out well> After looking at vw vortex a guy had A $44k TT 3.2 leased out,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, $820 for 36 months,,, without tax, taggs. He didnt lease or buy it thou.
LOLOLOL.....next please.
I guess Im use to the extra 100hp and 120 lbft im feeling in my evo. I just didnt expect slownessssssssssss.

I really like the redesign. The TT is a great car if you subtract at least $15k from the sticker. The price doesn't make any sense to me. If this was in the $30k range it would be a competitor.
The Audi TT with its mere 250 hp is one of the best performance cars. Even on the old Audi TT companies like HPA did monsters freak of nature as far is performance go, they do have twin turbo kits and the car comes with an AWD. You need to see some of the Audi projects launched on te magazine Sport compact car and you will see what I am talking about.
That engine is marvelous.

I am glad you are knowledgeable on this area. Yes indeed, you are correct. The FSI 2.0l turbo makes insane amount of extra power with just a chip or a flash, wether is Giac, APR,Neuspeed,Techtronic or whatever main company this engine makes astonishing hp/tq increases with just a flash.
It is in my opinion one of the top best 2.0 liter engines in the world.

The lack of AWD on the 2.0 t will hurt the sales just like the lack of DSG not ofered in both. Bad marketing, great engineering!

I don't know. Why not though? It is like me asking you why you are sponsored by Matt Martin Racing
It is reciprocal thinking....

. There are always many people on this forum that swap cars like I do and you can take that to your advantage. Many people might ask you about a car you had when they are looking for such car. I do that a lot.
