I saw this site a year or so ago.. Its a rip.. Very few people are aware that the first generation Caravan was available with the same turbo engine that was in the GLHS, Daytona, etc.. I used to spy a guy cruising around where I hang out, he would try to lure people into racing his "Minivan" and he used to burn people frequently.. Someone finally spied him up at the track tuning his "Thing" and he was clocked at about 13.20 in the 1/4.. And I know that there are probably quicker ones... They handle like crap, but I'd love to see someones face after getting ripped a new one by a minivan.. ROFL

This kid lies about EVERYTHING though......but some people actually said the van was turbo, never looked at the van cause the kid was a major loser

 

That's a long time ago . . . seen it about 2.5 yrs ago. Place the same engine in an omni, it'll blast in the 10 sec . . . just enough to scare toyo starlets and Rx-3's.

 

i have been digging through some old threads in search of info and i just stumbled across this thread. i think it deserves a bump for inspiration....kind of just says that anything is possible and gives hope to some of us discouraged lancer owners ...not to mention this guy i work with used to own a trans am with a few mods and got beaten by a minivan last summer.

Imagine this. You're at the light in the middle lane (3 lane highway), and you want to get on the freeway on ramp coming up on your right. There's a minivan with a middle age woman and two kids in the back, to your right. You think nothing of it, you're give it a little gas and you're cut her off and your on the freeway. The light turns green, you give it a little gas, and you realized that you haven't over taken the minivan. You decide to give it more gas, same situation. Now you decide it's time to floor it or your miss the on ramp. The woman hears you flooring your Evo, she floors her minivan. Now it's on. You go through second, third, fourth. The minivan is over taking you... This would suck big.

Good thing soccer moms aren't into modifying their minivan.

 

I like how the home page calls out the Evo 8.

 

i think the evo VIII would be quicker than most turbo'd minivans...atleast romp them off the line with the AWD. i still don't believe a minivan could be that hooked to beat an EVO...then again i have never seen any minivan remotely close to fast in my area. maybe i'll have to cruise the strip next summer until i find the guy that beat my friend hahaha

 

Actually zlancer (Andy) owns or owned a turbo minivan too. Go fig.
