Highest stock HP car You've ever driven
fast cars?
I've owned three camaros.
Two 2.8's (weak, but i loved them regardless)
My '89 IROC-Z 305 H/O (~300bhp)
Given it's not that impressive, but still... anyone that has driven
them knows its a blast
The hi-flow 3" exhaust gives you that nice muscle sound that
you just dont hear very often anymore
In addition to that I've driven:
Stock '91 vette
Stock '02 z06
'56? Split window vette (uncles, so nice)
And my friend and I built a sleeper from a '79 camaro
350 block bored out, solid lifters with fuelie heads,
3-angle valve job (where do you get that done anyways)
radical cam, etc etc pushing 475hp normally aspirated
Despite what people might think about this car, it's merely
a project car with no interrior (we ripped out, upholstered
two nice leather seats just for us)
Used a supersaw to make a hole for the shifter after we converted to manual tranny (result from wearing out one turbo 350, and blew up the tailshaft of another turbo 350. During the lifespan of those auto trannies we twisted a drive shaft and bent one like macaroni (the shaft that exploded coincidentally))
Nothing like driving a 475 beast that can be heard from 1/2 mile away (quite literally) with a stone crusher ... the good ol' days are becoming distant memories so quickly.
The only downside to this ride is that we live in a small town, and well ... after going for a 5 minute ride we have to bring the car back to his house and hide it out back before the police drive by.
I can recall waiting in a parking lot as he gave a friend a ride ... He hit a straight away about 1/4 mile from where i was and i could hear him hit 4th gear going down the road like it was a ******* siren going off
(not to mention it will spin its p335 tires through third gear without wincing ... which, is probably why we bent some drive shafts)
I think everyone should ride in a car like that before they can talk about a fun car
)

Driven in a couple of these, last one was at MIS. After driving in one of these during the test session, I got back on my ZX-9R race bike which was 182 hp, and it felt slow. I copied the below since it has pretty good short description.
Formula 3000 car is close in characteristics to Formula 1. It has Reynard carbon fiber chassis just like a Formula 1, and weights only 505 kg. It has a 492 HP 3000 cm3 engine - 9,000 U/min.
Acceleration: 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 6 seconds.
Topspeed: over 300 km/h
Gearbox: sequential 6-speed with current transmission ratio indication on the cockpit.
Tyres: 10 / 13 inch wide slick tyres for better corner grip, the same type as used in Formula 1, and even broader.
Front and tail wings, diffuser for enormous corner grip.
Digital cockpit
Formula 3000 has great corner performance - it can generate up to 4G - fascinating feeling
