That's the displacement. The actual weight is about 3650lbs.

true on the weight

1 lb. = 2.2 kg.

Go pick up a 45lb plate and read the side.

My estimation is that this car will probably run a flat 13 or 12.8sec@108-109mph 1/4 with a 4.5-4.6sec 0-60 .

I think BMW is being very conservative. Just look at what the new 335i are doing, the M-3 in theory should perform even better.

I hope your right I still wish that they would have made it a little lighter. I'm actually thinking of trading in my SS Trailblazer and getting back into a car for a year round DD. ( The Z06 and the Evo get stored for the winter)

This was one of the cars I would consider. I will have to wait to get a test drive before I voice my real opinion.

The reviews for the new M havnt been as good as hoped. A lot of the test drivers seem to prefer the feel of the old E46 M3 to this new one. Also a lot of them are saying the 335i is a better bang for the $

It weighs 3648lb with a 68kg driver and 7kg of luggage, so 3483lbs without that is not so bad. It's much more luxurios and bigger than an Evo, so at 200lbs more, not that big of a deal.

BMW also underestimates its cars a lot. You can bet this thing will pull of 4.4 sec 0-60 times.

Im thinking about selling my E46 M3, but don't know what to get. Test drove an RS4 and it was great, but now I'm thinking about waiting for the new M3.

geez.. Look at the exhaust.. Custom 2.5 or 3" straight pipes will give great boost in performance....Can't wait to hear that V8 with custom exhaust ..

EVO & GT-R will eat it and crap it out before BMW ever knew what hit them.....although, it is a big improvement over the E46
