M5 owner worried about STi
was cruising along tonight about 80mph when out of nowhere a Subaru and a Mitsub Evo pulled up on both sides of me (I was in the center lane). I hit the magic button and let the beast loose, but to my suprise the Subaru never left my side. All I could see was this little punk smiling while I was redlining my car through the gears. I don't mean to sound ignorant, but how fast are fugly pieces of junk? I thought I was top dog, but now I am starting to wonder if I am inferior. What do I need to be special, a LP640? Carrera GT?
The other night a Porsche Carrera S did the same thing and I pulled away quickly, no chance with the Subaru. I am not joking the Subura was seriously fast, and ridiculously loud, it sounded like he was running straight pipes, he was making my car vibrate when he was beside me.

I read through some of the other posts on that thread and most of them are wise not to think they can 'walk' or 'pull away' from our modified Evo's or STi's......Even a couple of them own a IX or have friends with Evo's or Subaru's pushing some serious HP....many were even praising our cars. Definitely not immature posts by these bimmer owners (except OP for misspelling Subaru and calling it fugly).
