Actually the 911 turbo wins, but honestly it probably had more to do with drivers. Most people agree the Z06 is a faster and quicker car. It ran 12.1 in this race, but it is capable of mid 11s bone stock when driven properly. This is an old video, but I am still amazed at the 12.6 for a stock EVO IX I always knew the JDM EVO was and is faster than USDM EVOs, I just didn't know they were that much faster. I at first thought the time was BS, but then I remember a long time ago Road and Track got a hold of a JDM EVO VIII MR and they got 12.6 out it and I was sad to see that the MR that was sold in the USA seemed de-tuned and missing a lot of stuff that the JDM MR had.

it says in the video that those cars were raced without practicing, it was first times they were driving them, and I'm pretty confident that those guys pushed those cars to the limit becouse that is what they do for a living, so those result are really close to what would happen in real life, no questions about z06 being mid-high 11 sec car but I'm sure 85% of drives if not more would never dip into those numbers... and from the video you can clearly see that 911 was slowly pulling away, a race is a race...

While these guys may be pretty good drivers, running a manual transmission RWD car (Z06) without practice is much different than running a AWD auto car. No matter how good the driver is, with a RWD manual, it's going to take some practice to run well in the 1/4-mile.
That also makes me skeptical. The Z06 is 400lbs lighter with 25 more HP. If the 911 is going to "pull" the Z06, it should be from a stop with the Z06 reeling it in and passing it as speed increases.

The jdm Evos are faster because of the stock antilag system, better gas and slightly more agressive tune, lighter weight (by almost 200lbs comparing MR models US and japanese), and in Japan they keep it real and launch at 7000-7500.

ranger from corvette forums was already running mid to low 11s then put a stock z06 in the 10s with just drag radials.. consider the 911 has better tires and its no suprise that a crap driver would cause it to loss...
on a side note, the new base vette is just made 480whp with cam, LT headers, stock exhaust and cheap intake only... no tune. 395whp stock! Talk about a serious underate. They are supposed to run 11s from the factory easily.

Having an Automatic Turbo is deadly in the 1/4 mile. You can build up max PSI from the lauch, and no lift to shift so the turbo stays FULL on at WOT. I don't know how they got 13.6 with the Lambo, that is just stupid and doesn't make much sense. They might have used the X50 Turbo boost option as well and then it isn't to hard to believe why the Turbo ran away.
