That was cool to look at. If i had a Z06 i would never do that to it. Felt bad for the Z06 though....

what a dumb **s !!! my buddy did that with his 454 SS truck once . It didn't hurt any body work , but he forgot to drive around after his horror show and cool the gears down . He parked it , we went to lunch and came back a couple of hours later . He went to move the truck , but could not . He basically heat welded the gears into one solid metal mess . $1200 later it was fixed .

Damn, in that case. If it was me, I would had blown the engine up instead of the tire.

Weak My friend goes down for the Mopar show every year there and shows me pics of the burnout competition. The winners are usually the guys who go until both tires blow clean off. And while this guy may have been doing it in a Z06, that are readily availble to anyone w/ the $, whos crazy enough to be doing it in cars like these?

That guy is the plant manager for the Bowling green Y-body plant. Basically a brand new Z06 with a line lock on the center console. The engineers told him to BREAK the car or come damn near it. GM will take the car back to Kentucky and analyze what the car did and when.
