The US WRX STi

When I was at the NY Auto Show...I overheard some guy looking at the Evo with his friend. He said "The Subaru guy said the STi is only gonna have 250HP."

All I am saying is what I overheard...I don't care enough for the STi to go over to a (probably idiotic) rep and ask him myself.

You guys need to quit talking to ignorant sales reps... They don't know anything you don't already know about specs. When SOA releases the specs, I'll believe that.

the latest motor trend tests both the US spec EVO VII and the US spec STI. Can't remember exact #s right now, but STI had around 235-240 horses compared to EVO's 260-270. Maybe someone with the mag can double check that.

dun get too excited they're not exactly "US-spec" they're just overseas models.

what do you mean by "overseas" models? both were LH drive US spec models according to the mag. The EVO was the exact same car they're sending to the states. and as far as what I read, so was the WRX.

They were both LHD Euro spec. They were NOT U.S. spec cars.

The only magazine that has a comparison between the Evo and STi is the latest Automobile. The Evo is a grey market Japanese model and the STi is Euro-spec.
