What kind of race are you talking about? This is like comparing oranges to apples. Awd vs rwd, 4cyl turbo vs 6cyl TT These two cars were designed for two entirely different types of driving.

If modified, a TT Z will walk an evo on the highway no problem, that's what those cars were made for.

do you plan to work on your own car? 300Z TT are a major pita to work on. You have to remove te engine to get the turbos out. I believe you have to take the intake manifold off to get to the spark plugs. Their engines are big and it take up a lot of room under the hood because all the pipping and stuff.

But they also have a lot of potential, just like any other car. Just depends on how deep your wallet is. Stock for stock I think the Z will slack. They are old cars and wear and tear will show. they are also on the porky side of the scale. their 1/4 miles times are in the high 13s with a good driver.

streetfire.net ..bound to find one on there

Keep racing for the track, not the street. Leave that stuff for the beat down Civics. Autox, the Speedway or a track road course

tt Zs put about 300whp(est.)stock so if you do a couple simple mods to an evo you should have no problem beating them.

a friend of mine has a 600whp 300zx and he cant even get the chance to run full boost(32psi) or keep his clutch in line, they seem to have a lot of problems with tuning etc. once they get over 600whp so you really have nothing to worry about.

they do have 300 hp stock. 350z are just 300 lbs lighter.
