ok as some of you may know(fromwrxtoevo knows,had a couple PMs about it with him)ive been throwing out the idea of droping my Evo 8 and going BMW 335i.

i went to the dealership here in hawaii about 3mths ago and WOW fell in love! The lady let me test drive the 335i coupe.Was very fast and i was very impressed.

Also I think I may have a kid on the way (my first) and i think the BMW would be better then a 600awhp evo for everyday,lol.I think the BMW is my car to get.Its got the power to get ahead of traffic,get on the freeway,and good track times.Its also very roomy,luxury,and looks down right sick with some nice wide wheels.

So I think the Evo will be for sale.Maybe I can get one later on again.BMW is a more practical move for me right now.

I'm torn with the 335i. I know it's a great car but i can't get past the looks. I like BMWs so I'm trying to like the styling.

I thought and I was under the impression that you already had it. Last time you sent me the pm the purchase was inminent.

You might not find the right answer here, for what I know everyone here loves the Evos but they wouldn't mind also having a BMW 335i if the budget would allows and off course any other exotic car.

The decision is very personal, I had my strongs reasons to change the car but I also change cars often. I am doing the same things I was doing with the Evo(drag racing) this time I am not worry about clutch, grinding gears, missing gears, etc, I am doing hot laps without worrying about the clutch overheating.

Driving from work to home and back is now pleaseant, comfort, sound,cruise control,ride, etc, things I was missing on a comfortable car. I substitute my Evo for the Eclipse (project GSX) and called it good, you might have a different criteria in life but my opinion is the same, you wouldn't regret of that car(335i).

BMWs are nice but IMO they all looke pretty similar. Most everyone i have talked to has agreed that a bmw is a bmw.

i agree w/ some people here...the 335i has got some HUGE hype over the hp figures, but the new bmw 3s are UGLY. The body doesn't seem to flow well like the E46 m3 did. As for quality, i hate bmw interiors. I've driven 04 7 series, the m6, and sat in m3s and m5s and i still hate the interiors.

I cant believe cars that are on the same level as audi's and benzes have those stupid plain boring interiors. The gauges have yet to impress me as well. I have lost respect for lots of bmw's M cars..throw big brakes, bigger engine more hp and a new bodykit and slap a M on there :/

well i love everything about the 335i...looks gorgeous on some nice wide wheels,its pure sex.

and for 1 i could care less about the power.i dont care about a fast bmw,why would i lose the evo that has more power for a bmw with power?im buying the bmw for other reasons then the power.

also i went to bmw to show her the 335i...well i walked out with a x3 for her,lol..white with black interior and brushed aluminum.i actually like it a lot.i just have to part out my car/sell it and ill get my 335i or M3.well see.

 

If you don't like the BMW interiors, then what do you think about the Evo interior? . Have you seen the interior of the 93-96 Dodge Vipers? they are $70000-85000 dollars cars(when new) and it is nothing but plastics and 1/2" gaps between panels.. not to mention boring, like having one foot of space bwteen the driver and passenger center console.


As far is the hype about HP, well, what can I say, Vishnu made 100whp/135lb/tq to the wheels on just a piggyback Vishnu V2.0 Procede., if you don't like it then fine but don't turn your back on the facts.

And by the way and since you say that the new 3 series don't flow as good as the M3, well, the E46 M3 drag coeficient was .33, the new 335i coupe is .30 unless you are talking about plain body style vs the flashyness of the older M-3, then I would understand what you mean.

Agree with the viper interior, the worst interior for its price range, but the viper's interior isnt in the range of benzes or audi's like the bmw is....more like vette/cobra territory and those interiors are crap too. The c6-z06 is actually the best GM interior i've seen next to the new tahoe's. some REAL quality interiors are basically anything Audi esp the RS4(for the race guys)...that car has fully adjustable racing soft leather recaros.

As for the 335i, im fully aware of the power, that was my whole point. It's got huge hype over the power, but the car itself is ugly. I've seen Hamann's version of the 335i and it was half-decent.

And as for the E46 drag comment, yes i wsa referring simply to the looks. As for aero, it def does look more aerodynamic than the e46. I still hate the look of hte new 3 series cars. The rear taillights are blehhhhh.

WOW!!! im like 2 seconds away from selling my evo and getting a 335i lol, too bad ive spent too much damn money on my evo or else i definitely would do it especially after seing that one.

 

LOL ^^ I heard you. I been on the same boat before. I would like to have many other cars but unfortunately it has to be one at the time.
