II also almost bought one. And in the first year, yes the G85 was optional, mysteriously packaged with seats. But after the debut year, chevy made all SS S/C's with the quaife. can't remember if it was 05 or 04 that G85 was an option. Later years, thhe seats were packaged alone.

I will have to raise a BS flag on this matter. GM units in Europe with the 2.0 Ecotec 260hp like the Opel Astra GTC (similar size/weight) were actually pretty sluggish: 15.0 @ 95mph, so how in the hell a car with such terrible performance and only 300 lbs lighter can be faster than the mighty 335 at the Ring?

Why are you guys so surprised, 335i is meant to be a luxury cruiser, a high way bullet, its not a track car (in stock form at least) and it lacks LSD which is crucial on the track.
I read an article (or something) about how the 335i gets a huge power boost from procede, but the power doesn't translate well AT ALL on the track.

Definition of Mighty = 300 underated TQ @ 1300 RPM.
What performance numbers are u talking about vs. the S2000? You're not talking about quarter mile numbers, right? A stock 335 is a low-mid 13 car @ 105-106 mph. That's Evo territory, which means it will blow the doors off a S2000.
BTW, 2wd 335s weighs 3575 lbs, not 4000.

Yes, you're right. I was just sharing the disappointing numbers that the Opel Astra GTC 240 has been achieving through several tests over different countries in Europe. With such performance there's no way a Cobalt with similar specs/ engine could beat the 335 which by the way is almost as fast as the E92 M3 414HP V8 at the Ring.

I can't believe that I'm here defending the 335i, a car I've been critizicing due to 335 owners exercising a nasty superiority behavior towards any car on this planet, including all sorts of modified Evos
