Caved In to Temptation, Bought New Car
After checking out a few dealerships and test-driving a few choices over the last couple of weeks, I finally caved in to temptations and bought a new car today. I had wanted to wait for the new GTR, but since I refuse to pay dealer markups I probably have to wait another 2 years to get my hands on one.
Here's a preview.

Will post more info in a bit.

Lately I've been looking around, trying out a few different cars and seeing what my options are. In the end, I just decided to get something now instead of waiting. Will I regret my decision? Perhaps, but at least I'll have something sporty to drive.
The price was right on this particular car, as were the color combination. It is an automatic, which probably isn't a popular choice around here, but at this point I don't really feel the need to drive a manual anymore. The transmission was impressive and gear changes were good. More power than I need obviously.
I did check out a few other cars, and my final choices were the Turbo, BMW M6 and AM V8 Vantage. The M6 was more GT than sports car and I was concerned with resale values and reliability on the Aston, so the Turbo won out.
Car is getting a detail, 3M clear bra and tints, and I will pick her up on Friday night or Saturday. I'll have my friend do a photo shoot when I get her and post up the pics. It would be nice to keep the CLS as a daily, but there is no way I can afford to keep both cars. If I had bought a GTR there were plans to upgrade the daily driver ('03 Pathfinder), but those plans will have to be kept on hold for quite a while.
Pics of the CLS. It was one comfortable ride.

The Turbo should hold it's value relatively well. I didn't even know you could buy it in an automatic though, and that may hurt resale. But hey, in 2 years, should still be a straight trade at least for the GTR. You don't really want to buy a completely new car in it's first year anyways

The MSRP on the P-Turbo is $126k. What was the cost of all the options?
