Regarding the Ford engines - they are far from being good engines. Look at the current Mustang GT - 260 HP from a 4.6 2 valve engine. Mitsu make more than that with a 2.0 4 banger with the help of FI. There are 6 cylinder cars like the Maxima that put out the same HP but with less torque. The only decent Ford engine is the 03/4 Cobra engine, and they had to go FI to get there. The build quality is also not as bad as some people suggest either.
