They are just happy to produce the Z06 at 60-something grand.

^^^^ I do believe they stopped making the ZR-1 because GM's contract with lotus for the engines was over. They could only make so many engines and then they had to stop. It was not selling that well either so it was a combination of different factors. It has been a while but I do believe this is correct.

Read the Wiki specs . . . it might not be all correct. In the 90's, sales started to slump for it, due to its price.

Also, during that time, the venerable C4 started see stiff competition in sales from the 300ZXT, Toyo Supra, and Mitsu 3KGT.

Just looked at the website and it now says Honda plans on building 1000. First 500 and now more. Sounds like a marketing strategy Its just a 4 door Civic with a body kit. Honda is really starting to drop the ball. As for the OP of 48K LOL....

Dont think u would have to look past the company porters/ mechanics to find the thief. Thats a inside job all the way.

I was out at the local mitsu deal getting some Dia Queen lsd oil for the ole evo, and decided to look inside the honda dealer next door.

I saw the new Mugen Si. took some pics for anyone who is interested. sorry i forgot to change the resolution on my camera so they are kinda of small. i couldn't beleive that they were asking 30k for this, and i DEFIANTLY cant believe that other places are asking as much as 48k.

no way a torqueless wonder is worth that much, i dont care if it has sweet Japanese writing on the badges.

Actually that dealership has no fence/gate so it is quite open to the public.
