First Dyno on GTR

it's underrated like the previous models. Nissan GT-R dynoed at 475 hp, 428 lb.-ft. of torque at the hub, so it maybe 520-530hp at the fly or more .

nice numbers. i want one, but i really want to see how tuneable it is. if it's going to be hard to crack, i can't see why i wouldn't by a used 996 turbo instead.

Arent those the crank #'s? The article says "but we'll have to wait until a few lucky souls slap the GT-R onto a set of rollers to get some idea of wheel horsepower and torque figures."

Well maybe they're referring to them using a dynapack instead of a roller-dyno.

it shows the car on the dynapack which gives whp. i think they were referring to the finding out the difference between the car tested and the numbers u.s. production car would make.

Dynapacks show corrected numbers (usually unless the settings have been changed) so that's pretty close to what's at the flywheel. We won't know for sure until the car's been strapped down on a dyno with rollers.

If that graph is right then the turbo does'nt hit full boost til 5K rpm's. I don't think that can be right.

Yeah, those numbers are close to what the factory says is acutal hp...but throw it on a roller dyno and see what it's really putting down to the ground.

^^^ Agreed! The GT-R has always been AWD. The SKYLINE has been made in RWD since day one, but the GT-R... No...
