Nice car, congrats on the purchase. I considered a SI but never got around to test driving one. I've heard the tranny is to die for though and I have to respect a car that can rev to 8000 RPM.

I looked at the Mugen and it was not worth the price. My Dealership wanted 36k for the Mugen. NO WAY. i am not paying 36k for a drop, wing, rims, and a body kit. I know there are only going to be 1000 made but still. Thats way too much.

I thought about getting the 4 door, but need to get a house first and figure that out later. That is a negative on the red, red is bad luck, lmao! Wish I coulda got a Mugen edition, that woulda been hot! Considering that there is one less because of the dealership that was dumb enough to leave their's out on the lot only to be left jacked up and on blocks n rotors!

36k$ for a civic is ridiculous, you can almost get an STI for that.

The tranny is awesome. Is so damn smooth. Going from one gear to the other does no feel like anything.

It also comes with some nice mugen seats, exhaust system, 200hp and less than 30k......

The Si is a great car. Great aftermarket. I had a Type-S and I had it mildly modded, and it was a blast.

The K20Z3 in your Si will respond nicely with a Cold Air Intake, high flow-cat and a Hondata reflash. Good luck with it!

Paying 30k$+ for a civic is stupid IMO even if you are the most hardcore of honda fanboys. They're a great car for 22k$ish but the extra mods are not worth a massively inflated price. You can get better seats, a similar lip kit and real power mods for less.

I sold a 2006 Si coupe in habanero red so that I could buy my Evo. The transmission was very slick, almost as nice as the S2000's. The vehicle was comfortable and the layout of the cockpit was nice. You could throw it around corners very easily but you could also induce wheelspin in 1st and 2nd gears believe it or not. I just got tired of being easily passed by luxury vehicle owners on the freeway. And it really ticked me off when I could not catch up with a Focus SVT. Does not happen in the EVO.
But the Si is still a great car and will take mods well. Make sure to do something about the tires if you add horsepower. I'm not sure how wide you can go with rims and tires without rolling fenders, etc.

Good luck.
