07 Tahoe

Anyone have a 07+ Chevy Tahoe? Have you pulled a EVO on a open trailer with it? I'm thinking about getting one, but wonder if I should get a F250 or something that pulls more weight. Need advice. Thanks

You really want a Diesel for towing. I have a 06 Denali and a 99 F250. The F250 you never know anything is behind you but the Denali you can feel it plus the back end will sag alot in a Tahoe vs SuperDuty. Especially if you're doing long distance the Diesel will save on price at the pump. Towning the same load my f250 gets about 16-17MPG with a lift and 36s on it where as the Denali gets about 10mpg. But I am traving through some mountains in Md and WVa.

How often are you going to be pulling the trailer?

If it's infrequently, the Tahoe will be fine. You'll get lousy mileage (10 MPG is probably optimistic) but you'll get there.

If you're going to be towing regularly (every weekend?) then turbodiesel power is the way to go.
